This tutorial will describe how to install a MySpace 2.0 layout if you currently have a standard MySpace Theme installed. The steps will involve converting to a default layout before installing the new MySpace layout for 2.0 users. Please note this tutorial does not describe how to convert to 2.0. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns after reading this tutorial in full.
Assessing the Situation
Most often users will convert to 2.0 and choose a theme. Sometimes installing one of AllMyLove Gifts & Apparel's layouts on top of a theme doesn't work. So let's get started on how to make everything look right, shall we?
Let's Convert to Default First
- When you have a theme currently in play on your MySpace 2.0 Layout, you can't really see the CSS since it's all in one package. Such as the example below:

- So first you have to revert the profile into a default to clear the theme. To do that you would go to profile and select Customize Profile.

- The top bar for customization should show up. You will then select Default from the different themes available

Let's Install the New Layout
- Next, go ahead and pick out the 2.0 layout you would like to install preferably in a new tab or window. Please note 2.0 Layouts are labeled with [2.0] following the title.
- Once you've found it, select all of the codes and right click then select copy.

- Return to your MySpace profile and select {}CSS.

- Right Click in the textarea box and select paste.

- Select Preview from the far left corner

- If you are satisfied with the preview, select publish on the far right corner.
