Contact Links Aren't Working

The first thing you should do is click on one of your contact links, the best ones to check are either view blogs or message me. If you receive a message, take a look at the URL (it will be displayed at the top address bar in your browser). Check for the following at the end of the address, should be &friendid=:

  1. Is it showing your URL name not your friend id? If so, you need to enter your friend id into the code when you reinstall, your friend id is a number please refer to other parts of my FAQ for details on how to find your friend id.
  2. Is it showing a number but still not working? Check to see if you've entered your entire friend id number.
  3. Is it just not working at all? Check to make sure your links are between double quotes (") in the code. For example, if you're checking the message link your link should look like a href="http://messaging.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=mail.message&friendID=123456789" the numbers 123456789 should be replaced with your friend id.
If none of the above worked for you, shoot me an e-mail or report a bug. I'll be happy to help you figure out what's wrong

It's All Messed Up! Pictures Are Sticking Out!

This common problem occurs when the slideshows or images are simply too large for the space allotted to the about me section. Please pay special attention when installing to the number of pixels specified in the text with regard to the largest width allowed. Most images or movies larger than that will not be displayed properly.

Why is Everything a Link in The About Me Section?

You probably forgot to close a tag, please check that you have a at the close of each link.

My Profile Misaligned

My more recent layouts have addressed this issue. My older ones require that you disable the standard MySpace Music Player when using the layout. The music player can be displayed in the following ways:

  1. It doesn't show up at all. Common in some of my layouts the music player is hidden altogether
  2. It displays but it moves everything to the right. Also common in some layouts, just disable your music player and instead opt for an external music player
  3. it displays in the top left corner. This is how I've been formatting my recent layouts I believe it doesn't display at all in Safari Browser. If anyone can confirm this please send me an e-mail

Missing A Few Things? Please send me an e-mail or report a bug and I will be happy to add onto my troubleshoot section.
