I wasn’t even born,
I didn’t have a name,
But you went off to war,
And fought for me just the same.
You gave your lives,
For those you didn’t know,
You sweated and cried,
And trudged through the snow.
You were young and brave,
Sometimes all alone,
Fighting for me,
So far away from home.
To those who are here,
And to those who are not,
You courage and bravery,
Will not be forgot.
War is ugly,
Nothing’s ever the same,
Still, you fought for me,
Not knowing my name. Last update : 08/04/2008 07:00 PM
